First check with homeowner, and visit the property if you can, to ensure no subsequent work has been done (or is in the process of being done) that could compromise the installation’s compliance with the relevant Building Regulations.
Examples:
- The homeowner has added a window seat under a window, which will reduce its height so safety glass now required.
- A bath has been moved underneath a window, requiring the installation of safety glass.
Government requires that installations be registered within 21 days of completion.
The installation must be compliant with the relevant Building Regulations at the time of its registration with FENSA.
If two years or more has passed since the installation was completed, please contact the FENSA Technical Help team.
