If you are making a change to your business structure or legal entity, for example, moving from a sole trader to a limited company, you must notify FENSA by completing the “Declaration of Change” form. This ensures your registration details remain accurate and your status is not impacted.
Link to form: Declaration of Change to Business Name/Legal Entity status
This change must be declared and completed within 28 days of the entity change taking place.
As part of the process, you will be required to submit supporting documentation clearly showing the new legal entity name, including:
A valid Public Liability Insurance policy
An Employer’s Liability Insurance policy (where applicable, if the business employs staff)
An Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) Provider Membership Certificate
In addition, we require written confirmation that all guarantees previously issued under the former entity will continue to be honoured in full by the new entity.
Providing this information promptly helps ensure continuity of your FENSA registration and avoids any disruption to your ability to register installations. If you have any questions or need guidance when completing the form, please contact FENSA for support.
