Absolutely. Sole traders are very welcome to apply and can become FENSA Approved Installers. FENSA works with installation businesses of all sizes, from independent sole traders to larger companies, and offers the same level of support, recognition, and credibility to all members.

What if I don’t currently have any jobs available for assessment?
As part of the FENSA application process, we’ll need to carry out an assessment of your installation work to ensure it meets the required standards. If you don’t currently have a suitable job available, please don’t worry, this is a common situation, and there are several ways we can help you move forward.
If you’re unable to provide a job right away, you may:
Wait until you have an upcoming installation that can be assessed
Arrange an installation for a family member or friend
Complete an installation at your own property
Our team is happy to talk through your options and help you choose the most suitable approach for your circumstances. Once suitable work is available, an assessment can be arranged and your application can continue smoothly.
